Peter Hook and The Light are an English rock band, consisting of Peter Hook, his son and bass-player Jack Bates, guitarist David Potts, keyboarder Andy Poole, and drummer Paul Kehoe.
Formed in 2010, after Peter Hook left New Order, they released their debut EP, '1102 | 2012', in 2011. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the USA and UK, where they perform Joy Division and New Order songs. They performed a show in Macclesfield, where they played Joy Division's catalogue, in chronological order, to mark the 35th anniversary of the death Ian Curtis.
Peter Hook and the Light will perform New Order's 'Technique' and 'Republic' LPs in full at a trio of concerts in London, Manchester and Glasgow. Having toured the albums from the bassist's previous bands for almost eight years now, the band have confirmed stops at KOKO, the Albert Hall and the O2 ABC on September 28, 29 and 30 respectively, with each night also featuring an opening set of Joy Division material.
