Blame Announce Release Date Of Debut Single 'Floods' - Plus Free Download Of 'Black Lodge'

Lo-fi duo Blame have announced that their debut single ‘Floods’ will see a release on September 3rd - and to celebrate, you can download their track ‘Black Lodge’ for free.

For the former kingpins of the Midlands metal scene, Blame is a whole new direction for the duo and a far cry from their ‘heavier’ past.

James Brighouse, one half of the pair, explains: “I was sacrificing more and more personal preference for commercial vigour, the romance had faded and the synthetic fashion rock started to turn my stomach”.

His partner Sam Johnson adds, “We quit the scene and spent months reinvesting in our old records, listening to the bands that first drew us toward guitar music over a decade earlier, we wanted something real, not commercial”.

The brand new release will also feature an extremely limited edition 7” vinyl featuring B side ‘Best I Could Be’, which will be available through Beggars Banquet. To celebrate the release, the band will be giving away a free download, ‘Black Lodge’ via their Facebook page.
