I Am Giant have just announced the release of their new single 'Purple Heart' on September 10th. The track is already winning support from Zane Lowe on BBC Radio One as his 'Next Hype' as well as from XFM, Kerrang! Radio and Q Radio. The band have also been announced as support to rock legend Slash on his Australian tour, ahead of a full UK tour starting this September, including a single launch show at The Garage in London on September 13th.
I Am Giant have already amassed a huge worldwide following with four Number 1 rock singles and a Number 2 album in New Zealand, music videos featuring skate and surfing icons Tony Hawk and Kelly Slater, a UK tour with Taking Back Sunday, performances at Big Day Out in Auckland and Sydney, opening for Stone Temple Pilots in Singapore, and touring throughout Asia several times.
On ‘The Horrifying Truth’, I Am Giant have bound together what they describe as “a collection of stories, thoughts, observations and exploration” into a cohesive and hard-hitting explosion of sound and melody. From ‘Purple Heart’ to closer ‘After The War’, the sharp lyrical themes draw the listener into the band’s growing awareness of mortality and loss of innocence. 'The Horrifying Truth' is released in the UK on October 8th.
