HIM Announce 20-Year Anniversary Greatest Hits Compilation

Finnish rockers HIM have announced that they’ll be releasing ‘XX: Two Decades of Love Metal - a 20-year anniversary greatest hits compilation’ on October 29th.

This year HIM, one of Finland’s most successful bands - both nationally and internationally - celebrate 20 years by releasing a brand new compilation album. This is the first compilation by the band that covers their whole career, and the celebratory compilation will include one new track - ‘Strange World’, the first new material from HIM since 2010. ‘Strange World is released digitally on September 21st - fans will also get a brand new music video for the track has been shot for the track. The compilation will be released globally by Sony Music.

HIM were the first Finnish band to achieve a gold record in the USA (over 500,000 albums sold) with the album ‘Dark Light’ (2005). The band has also sold platinum and gold in German speaking countries and silver in the UK with the album (over 50,000 albums).

In September, HIM will start working on a new studio album, which they hope to release in winter 2013, whilst they can be seen on tour and at festivals in the spring, summer and fall 2013. Check the tracklisting of their compilation album below.
