US Politician James Molinaro Calls Lady Gaga A 'Slut' That Should Be 'Hit'

A US politician has come under fire this week, after he branded Lady Gaga a ‘slut’ - as well as suggesting she should be hit - because she smoked cannabis on stage in Amsterdam.
Borough President of Staten Island in New York City James Molinaro made the rude and offensive comments on Monday and again on Tuesday, earning himself an angry backlash from fans and activists alike.
Speaking via the Staten Island Advance, Molinaro said: “There's Gaga. Here's this, this, I would call her a slut. This slut is influencing many, many children. My niece has two daughters, 12 and 14, they love this woman. Why? Why? So we have a job to do with these actresses, these actors, these ball players.
“They use drugs as it's nothing. We shouldn't praise them. We shouldn't honor them. We should really hit them... To me, she's not an actress, she's a slut, in the pure word, in the pure meaning of the word.”
Then, after drawing a lot of critical responses, he took to the press again the following day to reiterate his comments, saying: “A slut is someone that's immoral or uses improper conduct. That's the interpretation in the Random dictionary. So she's using improper conduct. So she's a slut. What's the big deal about it? Are you excited because she's female? There's males that are sluts too.”
