Scottish indie-rockers Frightened Rabbit have announced a February 2013 UK tour today, ahead of the release of their fourth studio album.
The five-strong band released brand new EP ‘State Hospital’ earlier this year and are gearing up for the release of the currently-untitled follow-up to their 2010 record ‘The Winter of Mixed Drinks’, due out early 2013.
Kicking-off at Norwich’s Waterfront on February 8th, the tour will take the band to venues in Birmingham, Brighton, London, Cambridge, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, and more.
The band have been working on the new album for over a year, with frontman Scott Hutchison revealing that the album was ‘essentially written’ back in December last year. It’s the first time Hutchison has been assisted by his bandmates in writing new songs, something which he says has ‘done nothing but benefit the new songs’.
