Following his three sell-out London gigs earlier this year, hip-hop and rap star Nas has announced a gig at London’s O2 Arena for March 2013.
The 39-year-old will appear alongside very special guest Meek Mill on March 19th 2013, at the massive O2 Arena, London - the first time either artist has performed at the venue. £1 from each ticket sold will also be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, in honour of Nas track ‘Cherry Wine’, which features vocals from the late singer.
Over his ten-year career Nas has reached a level of lyrical skill and personal maturity that is unprecedented in rap. As a live performer Nas lives up to his reputation as King of New York and the most authentic hip-hop hero. His energy is explosive and his performance is electrifying.
Nas released his eleventh studio album 'Life Is Good' in July on Def Jam Recordings. His last album for the record label, it was recorded at various recording studios and produced primarily by No I.D. and Salaam Remi. Writing the album after his divorce from Kelis, Nas wanted to vent personal feelings and address moments in his life with his lyrics.
