Chris Wolstenholme Reveals First Time Singing With Muse Was A 'Disaster'

Chris Wolstenholme - bass player for electronic rock titans Muse - has confessed that he got incredibly nervous after singing with the band for the first time, despite having more than 10 years of performing experience.

The band, who are currently touring the world in support of their latest album ‘The 2nd Law’, have been together since 1994, but Wolstenholme has never featured vocals on any of the band’s records until ‘Save Me’ and ‘Liquid State’ - which both featured on ‘The 2nd Law’. After singing the vocals live for the first time, the star admitted that he had ‘a bit of a disaster’ - but has now come to terms with his new responsibility.

He told The Sun: “Singing live was really, really tough at first. I was pretty gutted after the first show because I wasn’t really prepared for the nerves, so as soon as I started singing I felt my legs going and I started wobbling and it was a bit of a disaster. I got over it fairly quickly, though, and I’m starting to enjoy it now.”

If you missed Wolstenholme singing their next tracks alongside frontman Matt Bellamy and guitarist Dom Howard, you can catch them on their 2013 UK stadium tour. If you need tickets, check the dates and links below.
