Full Extent Of Lostprophets' Ian Watkins Surface - Band Release Statement

The full extent of the charges that Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins is facing in court have surfaced, leading to a statement from the rest of the band being issued via their website.

Yesterday we posted a story that Watkins - along with two females aged 20 and 24 - had been charged with child sex offences. Now, we can reveal the full list of charges the singer is facing - and it includes conspiring with a woman to rape a one year-old child.

Watkins is also up against charges that claim he was conspiring to abuse two young children, as well as producing, possessing, and distributing indecent images of children - and even possessing extreme animal pornography.

The shocking news has left fans surprised, upset, and horrified - his band were extremely popular across the globe, and had sold over 3.5million albums worldwide. While it comes as a massive bombshell to fans, though, there’ll be no group more shocked than Watkins’ bandmates - who released a statement on the matter earlier today.

The post on their website - which has replaced their whole site - reads: “Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers. Jamie, Lee, Luke, Mike and Stu.”

Watkins and the two other girls, who are from Bedford and Doncaster, will remain in custody until December 31st, when they’ll appear in Cardiff Crown Court. All three were denied bail yesterday - despite Watkins’ mother offering her home as security.
