Mumford & Sons Receive 3 BRIT Nominations And Announce New Single

Mumford & Sons have received 3 nominations for the BRIT Awards 2013. The band feature in the 'Best Live Act' and 'Best Group' categories, with their second album 'Babel' nominated for ‘Best Album’.

It equals the same number of nominations that the band received at the Brit Awards 2011 where they won ‘British Album of the Year’ for their debut record, 'Sigh No More'.

Since its release in late September 2012, 'Babel' has now sold over two million albums globally, and achieved double platinum status in the UK.

In addition to their Brit Award nominations, Mumford & Sons are shortlisted for six Grammy Awards, with the ceremony taking place in Los Angeles on 10th February, ahead of the Brit Awards on 20th February.

Mumford & Sons release a new single, 'Whispers In The Dark', on the 11th March through Gentlemen of the Road/Island Records.
