Primal Scream Unveil Video For New Single '2013' - Watch Now

Primal Scream are back! Sequin gimp masks, bondage, and psychiatric patients. The new video for the bands “sophisticated” new single doesn’t disappoint.

Primal Scream will release their tenth studio album ‘More Light’, the follow-up to 2008's 'Beautiful Future', on May 6th. Frontman Bobby Gillespie revealed the details on Lauren Laverne's BBC Radio 6 Music show earlier this month.

The album has been produced by David Holmes, with appearance from The Pop Group's Mark Stewart and Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant.

Speaking to Q magazine, frontman Bobby Gillespie said: "It's a rock 'n' roll record, but modern rock 'n' roll. Pretty psychedelic rock, it's kind of guitar-driven but we use guitars in an orchestral way, not in the normal way people make rock records. I think we do it in a more interesting way. We weave the guitars in with electronics and other acoustic instruments to make the core sound."

Gillespie also confirmed that: "The songwriting has got better! Live we're a guitar rock'n'roll band but when we make records... it would boring if we just made guitar records, we've got our own way of doing things. It's Primal Scream music."

Primal Scream have confirmed that Debbie Googe of My Bloody Valentine is the band's new touring bass player. Former bassist Mani is currently touring with the Stone Roses.
