To mark the 25th anniversary of his solo album of the same name, Horror Punk icon Danzig will be playing a 3-date UK headline tour later this year – his first since 2005.
Danzig will kick-off at Manchester’s Academy on 19th June, hitting Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall the next day and ending this milestone celebration at London’s famous Roundhouse venue on 24th June.
Glenn Danzig, through his work with legendary punk acts Samhain and Misfits, formed the backbone of today’s mosh movement, with his far reaching influence still evident in bands whose members were yet to be conceived years before 'Danzig' was even recorded. Conversely, his influence works in both directions, with his music having been covered by a very diverse collection of artists that includes Roy Orbison, Metallica and Johnny Cash.
The prospect of hearing 'Mother', 'Twist Of Cain', 'Am I Demon' and 'She Rides' live would be enough to whet the appetites of any fans, but perhaps most poignant will be the addition of Doyle Von Frankenstein at all three shows. This will mark the first and perhaps only time that UK audiences will see Danzig and Doyle perform a Misfits set together in addition to the full 'Danzig' set.
