Gucci Mane Decides To Change Name To 'Guwop' - Only To Change Mind Following Twitter Backlash

33 year-old gangsta rapper Gucci Mane officially announced he would be changing his name today, only to change his mind 30 minutes later - after his fans ridiculed his new name on Twitter.
The Atlanta-based star decided that he’d be changing his performing name to Guwop - slang for money - from July 2nd onwards, officially retiring the Gucci Mane name.
He tweeted today:
July 2nd I'm officially changing my rap name to Guwop and retiring the great GucciMane Thanks Fans, for 8 years as Gucci now it's Wop turn
