Dave Grohl Gives Keynote Address At SXSW Festival - Watch Now

Having become the unofficial Mayor of Rock 'n' Roll, Dave Grohl's Sound City documentary film and Sound City Players album 'Real To Reel' is released this week. Check out Stereoboard's review of the album here. Check out the man himself giving the keynote address at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas, here.

South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place every spring in Austin, Texas. SXSW began in 1987 and has continued to grow in size every year. In 2011, the conference lasted for 10 days, with SXSW Interactive lasting for five, Music for six, and Film running concurrently for nine days.

SXSW Music and Media Festival is one of the largest, most influential, and most anticipated music events of the year. At SXSW 2012, almost 19,000 music industry professionals attended compelling panels, industry discussions, demo listening sessions, trade show exhibits, and six nights of music performed by about 2,286 various acts representing 49 different countries, performing at over 100 venues in downtown Austin, Texas.

For 2013, SXSW is keeping with the tradition of continuously outdoing themselves by bringing you even more of the absolute best mix of brand new, up-and-coming, international and legendary musical performances, planted all over Austin in bars, clubs, parks, churches and elsewhere. As has been the case the last 26 years, attending SXSW is a must for the music and creative industry professional.
