Yeah Yeah Yeahs can’t wait any longer! The new album 'Mosquito' is out April 15th and that’s just days away! With the band hitting the road it’s time everybody learns all the new songs. Yeah Yeah Yeahs want to round up fans all over the world to experience the album in one place, at one time, all giving input together. Now it can be done!
Noisey.com is launching the first ever “Listening Party” Livestream Event – holding a first listen to an album in real time letting users comment on it in real time.
Today, Wednesday April 3rd, Noisey brings fans the first listen of 'Mosquito' in an entirely unique listening experience. While the album plays for the first time anywhere, you can bond with fans all over the world over your favorite new songs, see exclusive content and other surprises along the way. It is a party – maybe a certain threesome will even start the party with some details about each song. 'Mosquito' features ten songs produced by Nick Launay and Dave Sitek, with James Murphy and Sam Spiegel production on one track; all eleven are mixed by Craig Silvey. The bulk of it was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornilla, Texas. The deluxe album includes 4 bonus acoustic/demo tracks. Check out the Megaforce-directed video for first single 'Sacrilege', below.
“We would love for this music to make our fans feeeeel something, for it to stir some shit up inside of them, whatever that may be,” says singer Karen O. “SO much feeling went into this record, it was the rope ladder thrown down into the ditch for us to climb up and dust ourselves off.
