The Seekers Announce 50th Anniversary Farewell UK Tour

The Original line-up of The Seekers have reunited for their 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Farewell Tour for one last time.
Following a successful sell out run in their native Australia, the pop quartet comprising Judith Durham (vocals, piano, tambourine), Athol Guy (double bass, vocals), Keith Potger (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Bruce Woodley (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals) announce a 10-date UK tour this autumn.
Starting Monday 16th September at The Sage in Gateshead, the iconic group will take their anniversary tour to Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bournemouth, London, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff, finishing in Belfast at the Waterfront on Tuesday 8th October.
2012 was the same year that saw The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones celebrate their 50th anniversaries, with Australia’s very own legendary and iconic band, The Seekers joining the elite in reaching this impressive milestone.
Best known for their string of hits in the 1960s, 'I’ll Never Find Another You', 'A World Of Our Own', 'Morningtown Ride', 'Someday, One Day', 'Georgy Girl', The Seekers are the only surviving chart-topping band from the era with all their original founding members.
Let us also not forget that they were also the first group ever to reach Number 1 on the UK charts with their first three singles; not even Michael Jackson or Madonna achieved that!
Fifty years on, The Seekers are still touching the hearts and souls of fans – some who’ve been with them from the very start – and some who’ve hopped on board along the way.
