Trent Reznor Confirms New Nine Inch Nails Album Is Finished - And It's 'F*cking Great'!

Wednesday, 29 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Nine Inch Nails have announced that they’ll be releasing a brand new album this year - and frontman Trent Reznor has described it as ‘fucking great’!

The band’s lined-up has once again been shaken up, with the new look outfit now featuring Adrian Belew of King Crimson, Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv, returning members Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin, and former guitarist Robert Finck - who joins as a touring member following the swift departure of Eric Avery, who only joined the band at the start of the year.

Despite the shake-up, work on a follow-up to the band’s last album - 2008’s ‘The Slip’ - has finished, and they’ll be releasing it later this year. In fact, Reznor is so excited about the new record, he’s written a statement about it via Tumblr - and admitted that he thinks its ‘fucking great’! He wrote:

“I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!”

The band have already announced that they’ll be touring this year, and have lined-up a couple of festival dates this summer too. You can catch them at Reading and Leeds Festival this year - click here (Reading/Leeds) to find tickets, and keep your eyes peeled on Stereoboard to find out when they hit the road for a full headline tour!
