Linkin Park star Chester Bennington has revealed that he’s planning to make a lot more music with his new Stone Temple Pilots bandmates - though a full album seems to be unlikely.
Bennington was surprisingly unveiled as the band’s new frontman last month, following the departure of Scott Weiland, who was fired for a second time earlier this year. The new-look outfit released new track ‘Out of Time’ last month too, but fans were wondering how long the new line-up would continue on for - however, Bennington seems to have confirmed that there’ll be lots of new music coming their way.
The singer told Rolling Stone:
“We don't have a label. Everything we're doing is on our own, so we're just taking it one track at a time. We would love to sit down and hammer out a record, but the reality is we're gonna make music, we're gonna make a lot of it, and we're gonna be in a position to release a single at a time, go out and really give people music the way they want to get it.”
He continued:
“It is a good position to be in, and for us, all we care about is going out, making the legacy as great as it needs to be, as great as people expect it to be, and coming out with new music that lives up to that standard.”
So, all you fans have got to do is play the waiting game, and you’ll be rewarded with brand new Stone Temple Pilots music - for now, you can check out their track ‘Out of Time’ below. Are you excited for their new tracks? Leave us a comment in the box underneath.
