Mike + The Mechanics Confirm 25th Anniversary UK Tour For February & March 2014

To celebrate Mike + The Mechanics classic 1988 album ‘The Living Years’ 25th anniversary this year, the band will embark on a UK tour in February and March 2014.

‘The Living Years’ was Mike + The Mechanics second album hit Number 1 in the US as well as reach Number 2 in UK charts. The album – which included the singles ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, ‘Seeing is Believing’ and the classic title track ‘The Living Years’ – has received Gold status in the UK as well as in Canada and the US.

Mike Rutherford, a founder member of Genesis, formed Mike & the Mechanics in 1984 and created the supergroup that would go on to sell over 10million records worldwide, including ‘The Living Years’, ‘All I Need Is a Miracle’ and ‘Over My Shoulder’.

Following a six-year hiatus and a massive reunion world tour with Genesis, Mike Rutherford has joined forces with one of the UK's most successful R&B acts Andrew Roachford, and Canadian-born actor and singer Tim Howar for a new generation of Mike + The Mechanics. 

In April 2011 Mike + The Mechanics release 'The Road', their seventh studio album. It was the first Mike + The Mechanics album released following the breakup of the original band.
