Mike and the Mechanics are an English pop and rock band from Dover, England, consisting of Mike Rutherford, Anthony Drennan, Tim Howar, Luke Juby, Andrew Roachford and Gary Wallis.
The band formed in 1985, started by Mike Rutherford, the founding member of Genesis, it also featured veteran musicians Paul Carrack and Adrian Lee, Sad Cafe’s Paul Young, and Van Morrison drummer Pete Van Hook. Their eponymous debut album hit shelves in 1985, but it was their second record ‘Living Years’ which saw them achieving commercial success, hitting #2 in the UK Albums Chart. The band continued to release successful records until 2004, when the original band split. Returning with a new line-up in 2010, they released a brand new album, ‘The Road’ in 2011. In 2014 they toured in celebration of the 25th anniversary of ‘Living Years’, and their latest, 'Let Me Fly', came in 2017.
Mike and the Mechanics have announced the Looking Back Over My Shoulder Tour for early 2019. The sets will consist of material from their latest album, 'Let Me Fly', and back catalogue. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.

I went to see the show at Buxton was a bit miffed thought they were celebrating 25 years of the album, they put in other songs then the best songs were sung Brilliant!!!
Also unsure about the 2 new singers but they were very good, especially Tim. Why did I doubt them?! Mike is as I thought on guitars - so perfect and they all did a solo. Gary, well he was a maniac drummer bare foot and all. GO SEE THE SHOW!!!
