Pixies Confirm November UK Tour Dates & Ticket Details

Hot on the heels of Bagboy, their first new single in nine years, Pixies have announced a short run of UK dates for November.

The legendary alt-rock band released the track as a download on their website on Friday, just two weeks after parting ways with bass player Kim Deal.

For their upcoming tour the band have drafted in Kim Shattuck - former vocalist and guitarist with the Muffs - to fill the void left by Deal. Black Francis has confirmed that, in addition to Bagboy, the band will play further new material on tour, as well as plenty of rarities.

"Along with everyone's favorites, we'll be playing songs that we haven't played in ages or never played live before," he said. "Songs like Brick is Red, Havalina, Tony's Theme and Sad Punk. We've probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we'll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We're all really looking forward to this tour."

Pixies' UK dates get underway on November 21 in Manchester, at the Apollo, with follow up shows set for Glasgow Barrowland the following day and London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 24. Tickets for the gigs are on sale at 9am on July 2.

Thu November 21st 2013 - MANCHESTER Apollo
Fri November 22nd 2013 - GLASGOW Barrowland
Sun November 24th 2013 - LONDON Hammersmith Apollo
