Daft Punk Condoms Nothing To Do With Us, Say Durex

Friday, 12 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Durex have announced that the new Daft Punk condoms are not actually affiliated with them, following this week's reports that the French house duo had brought out their own range of Johnnys.

We covered the news yesterday and it was believed by many that Daft Punk teamed up with Durex to create something to cover their Robot Rocks and ensure they don’t end up with any computer viruses. The packaging even features the Get Lucky artwork.

But, speaking to MTV, a Durex spokesperson has stated that they have nothing to do with the condoms, and that they weren’t promoting them as widely reported.

“We are aware of reports that Durex has launched Daft Punk branded condoms following their hit single 'Get Lucky'. There is no Durex promotion or partnership with Daft Punk in the US or any other markets and Durex is not posting free packs to the world's top DJs as suggested.

“However, we do hope that by using Durex condoms, music-lovers will continue to make sweet music together and have great sex!”

The condoms are, however, coming from somewhere, and they were being given out at the Sony Music Belgium festival last week. Have you found one? Or even used one?! Leave us a comment in the box below!
