Mumford And Sons Still Haven't Checked Out Footage Of Their Own Glasto Performance

Friday, 19 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Folk-rock titans Mumford and Sons have confessed that they haven’t yet watched back their performance at Glastonbury, as well as attempting to quash rumours they didn’t enjoy performing at the festival.

The band closed the epic three-dayer last month but, despite playing in style, they still haven’t found the time to watch the performance back.

Frontman Marcus Mumford told NME:

“I'll watch it one day. It's one of those life events that feels like it'll take 20 years to process.”

But, although they haven’t watched the footage, they’ve made it clear that they really did enjoy playing after recent comments at their massive Hyde Park gig, which saw keyboard-player Ben Lovett telling the crowd they were ‘loads better than [Glastonbury’s] ever was’.

Lovett explained:

“Glastonbury was very special. But the Olympic Park was a London gig and it was our crowd rather than the Glastonbury crowd. So in a way it felt a bigger achievement. We travel a lot. So when we come back home to where it all began, it really means a lot to us. But at the same time, we would never take back that Glastonbury show.”

Mumford and Sons may not have watched the show back, but you can right now - check the video out below!
