Global Gathering: The Stereoboard Setlist

Monday, 22 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Global Gathering is almost here. A massive celebration of all things electronic, the festival will take over Long Marston Airfield on July 26 and 27.

Organisers have crafted a main stage based around industrial cubism, while the Godskitchen Fusion Cube will also land at the event for a maiden UK show after stops in over 10 countries worldwide. As ever, the bill is packed with goodies, and here are just a few of the sets we’re looking out for.

DJ EZ – Metropolis Stage, Saturday

DJ EZ is often hailed as the best garage DJ in the UK, and he’s certainly up there. If you haven’t watched his Boiler Room set yet, then stop what you’re doing and check it out. His war chest is filled with the best in 2-step, garage, 4x4, bassline and funky, and has everything you need to get your groove on at the festival this weekend.

Lung – Hostpitality Stage, Saturday

Lung is a Cardiff-born DJ that’s about to make a big impact in the bass music scene, having signed for Hospital Records’ sister label Med School exclusively back in 2011. Having started out as a dubstep producer, he now creates a variety of awesome electronic music - though his main focus is drum and bass - and has amassed thousands of fans across the globe. His debut album on Med School is finished and awaiting release - make sure you catch him over at the Hospitality stage on Saturday.

Infected Mushroom – Godskitchen Fusion Cube, Saturday

Special guests at the Godskitchen Fusion Cube, this Israeli outfit create some of the most pleasing and interesting music humanly possible. Call them what you will - psychedelic trance, glitch-hop or electronica - they’re a unique band with unparalleled style, and are definitely worth checking out. If you have even an ounce of appreciation for music in you, you’ll find something you like in their set.

Spectrasoul – Born Electric Stage, Friday

After turning the heads of drum and bass lovers in 2008 with their debut Critical release ‘Alibi’, this pair of producers have gone from strength to strength. They've expanded their sound and are writing tracks at various other BPMs while still retaining their firm grip on drum and bass. They play sets that cross all the borders in the electronic music world, making them a perfect listen for any dance festival attendee.
