Mutya Keisha Siobhan have opened about their past as multi-million selling group Sugababes - admitting that staying in the group could have ‘ruined’ their lives!
The trio have formed a brand new eponymous girl group and are preparing to take the pop world by storm once again, but speaking to V Magazine they’ve spilled the beans on the group that made them famous.
They told the site:
“We didn't really get the chance to ge. It wasn't a very healthy environment. There was a lot of pressure put on us. Major sort of divide-and-conquer tactics going on. I feel like we were thrown to the wolves, in a sense.
“We were too young to be dealing with that. It could have ruined our lives, but we all came out of it a bit alright! Basically unscathed!”
Changing the subject, the girls talked about their forthcoming new album - saying:
“It's an emotive, vocal record. There are different genres and different tempos. I feel like we can take on any kind of music, but we've just got to do it in our own way. We wanted to make an album that we were proud of, that we could stand by.”
You can catch the girls performing live at London’s Scala in August. Check the dates and links below to find tickets through Stereoboard.
