Kings Of Leon have unveiled the music video for Supersoaker, the first single from their eagerly-anticipated new record, 'Mechanical Bull'.
The Tennessee band will release the album, their sixth full-length, on September 24 having premiered Supersoaker on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last month.
Kings Of Leon set up their own studio and proceeded to record 'Mechanical Bull' independently. Guitarist Matthew Followill admitted that the move allowed them to "fall back in love" with being in a band. He told Radio 1:
"The pressure was really off of us on this last one. We were our own bosses. There were no bills because we bought the studio ourselves, there was no timeframe when it had to be done by. Us being able to take a break, we kind of got to fall back in love with what we loved about it in the first place, which was picking up your instruments and and playing and smiling onstage and actually having fun, and not feeling like it's a job."
Kings Of Leon recently confirmed a performance at London's Shepherds Bush Empire for August 9. The new show will act as a warm-up for the band, who perform massive gigs in Belfast, Glasgow at V Festival later this month.
Fri August 9th 2013 - LONDON Shepherds Bush Empire
