Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have claimed that bands who charge their fans for meet-and-greets are 'appalling'.
The chart-topping trio were asked by NME what they thought of meet-and-greet charges, with the band describing it as ‘appalling’ and adding that meeting fans is ‘part of the job’.
They told the site:
“Artists charging for meet and greets is absolutely appalling. I don't think you can put a price on meeting somebody - that's ridiculous. You get paid to perform and that makes sense, but meeting someone is just part of the job. You're meant to just be nice and meet people. What's five minutes to just shake someone's hand?”
BiffyClyro are set to hit the road in Europe and the US after their Reading and Leeds Festival appearances later this month. It looks like they may announce a return to UK stages too. Stay with Stereoboard for updates - we’ll let you know if they announce plans!
