Thursday, 22 August 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Joanne Shaw Taylor has announced the Monday 4 November release of her debut live album ‘Joanne Shaw Taylor: Songs From The Road’. The album will be released as a 2-disc CD/DVD by Ruf Records. Recorded live at London’s Borderline on 12 May, the hotly tipped live album dovetails Joanne’s UK Tour which starts at London Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 28 November.

Nominated for Best New Artist at the British Blues Awards for her debut album 'White Sugar', Joanne scooped consecutive wins in the Best British Female Vocalist category at both the 2010/2011 events; establishing her position as the new face of British blues. In 2012, she played guitar for Annie Lennox at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in front of a TV audience of 17 million.

The November and December concerts will see Joanne performing tracks from her current album 'Almost Always Never', plus favorites taken from her first two albums - 'White Sugar' (2009) and 'Diamonds in the Dirt' (2010).
