Courtney Love Confesses Love For Savages - And Invites Them To Tour With Her

Monday, 26 August 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Courtney Love has revealed she is a major fan of London post-punk outfit Savages - and has invited them to tour with her.

The Hole singer seems to be hitting the UK later this year for some kind of live performances, and it now seems as though an appearance from Savages could feature too. Love is a major fan of the band, and has confessed that she’s written a ‘gushy’ fan-letter to them - adding that she’d even ‘love’ to tour with them .Check out what she had to say below, via Vanity.

“I was listening to this incredible new band - it's mostly girls, out of England - called the Savages. They are amazing. There is a song called 'Shut Up'. It's kind of very Siouxsie Sioux. The beginning is all spoken word and it's brilliant, about disciplining yourself and not being distracted. And they're gorgeous! Shaved heads.

“Anyway, I would love to tour with them. I just wrote them a gushy girl fan letter because I had been listening to their stuff all day and I get so excited whenever I see a new female artist that's good and doesn’t have fireworks coming out of her tits.”

Revealing ‘Shut Up’ as her favourite track, Love really seemed to be keen on working with Savages on way or another and perhaps we could see them on stage together sometime in the future.

Meanwhile, Love - who was once branded 'the most controversial woman in the history of rock' - is preparing to reignite her solo career and told Billboard that she has a new album, titled 'Died Blonde', set for release in 2014.

With a handful of US tour dates lined-up for later this month, it looks as though she may be hitting the UK this year too Love reportedly has a show at Manchester Academy lined-up for November 6. Check our coverage of the story here.
