Drake 'Sleeping in the Studio' to Finish New Album

Canadian rapper Drake has apparently blown up an air mattress to help him get some sleep in the studio, in hope he’ll get to finish his brand new album ASAP.

The 26 year-old releases his third LP ‘Nothing Was the Same’ on September 24 - that is, however, if he manages to finish it on time. He reportedly has to get the demo tapes in before September 9, and with that deadline just seven days away, he’s catching Zzzs in the recording studio to ensure he puts his whole day into getting it done.

He told Rolling Stone:

“We have just 10 days before we turn it in. I'm literally sleeping in the studio on an air mattress. We're working 24-hour days to make sure the story is done, front to back. It has to be a new point of discovery.”

The new album is set to be another epic collection from the star, and sees Drake involved in some all-star collaborations with the likes of his good pal Lil Wayne, Jay Z, James Blake and 2 Chainz, while it features productions from Detail, Noah "40" Shebib, Hudson Mohawke, and others.

Though we doubt his sleep Away From Home was the Best He Ever Had, if he wants to get his record out to fans, he’ll have to make sure he gets it all done before he can say Hold On, We’re Going Home. OK, we’ll stop now!
