Bowie is nominated in the categories; Best Album with ‘The Next Day‘, Best Track with ‘Where Are We Now?‘, as well mentions for Best Solo Artist, Best Video and Best Act In The World today. The David Bowie exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, which closed last month, is also nominated in the category for Best Event.
Daft Punk and Arctic Monkeys have each landed 3 nominations, named in the categories; Best Track, Best Video, Best Album and Best Live Act.
Q Senior Editor, Matt Mason says: “It’s been another unforgettable year for music, and the nominations reflect the breadth and brilliance of artists from the UK and beyond.
“The return of David Bowie proved that, even in the digital age, popstars retain the ability to completely amaze and surprise us, while the phenomenal success of Daft Punk showed that you can still reach right across the globe with one great song.
“With Glastonbury back on the calendar, we’ve also enjoyed a summer of outstanding live performances. All the Q Awards nominees have helped ensure that 2013 has been an incredible year for music.”
