Thursday, 03 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Andy C’s heavyweight drum and bass label Ram Records are set to release a brand new, career-spanning compilation album ahead of their Ramsterdam event at this year’s ADE.

ADE - Amsterdam Dance Event - is an annual five day festival featuring over 2000 artists spread over 450 events, which take place all over the Dutch capital. Ram Records have long boasted their own event at ADE, and their 2013 edition is looking set to be one of their biggest yet.

Ramsterdam takes place on October 17 at the infamous Paradiso, and sees three-deck extraordinaire and Ram boss himself Andy C topping the bill, alongside label stalwarts Calyx & Teebee, Wilkinson, June Miller, Loadstar, and Delta Heavy.

If you’re into drum and bass then you can probably tell that there event is set to be an absolute stormer, and to celebrate, the label are releasing career-spanning compilation album 'Ramsterdam Drum & Bass 2013' - featuring two brand new exclusives alongside a selection of 13 of Ram’s finest hits.

First in the exclusives is an incredible VIP of Wilkinson’s 2011 smasher Overdose, a track which well and truly put him on the map and also got its fair share of rewinds - but if you thought that was good, check out Wilkinson’s new refix of it (we’ve embedded it below!).

Also featured is the first Ram release from new signees Bluescreens, who have delivered a dancefloor-rocking debut in StrikeOne (Part 1). This is already getting a lot of attention, and for good reason too - Bluescreens looks like another stroke of genius from the Ram head-honchos

Along with those two is thirteen reminders why Ram are one of, if not the best label in drum and bass, starting off with Shimon and Andy C’s timeless masterpiece Quest. Also included are tracks from Calyx & Teebee’s latest LP, Fresh’s classic Signal, and Culture Shock favourite Zepplin.

You can check out a full 'Ramsterdam Drum & Bass 2013' tracklist below - it's out on Monday October 7. If you’re lucky enough to be in Amsterdam later in the month, click here to grab tickets for the sure-to-be-epic Ramsterdam gig on the 17th!
