Lucy Dacus has shared a new song titled Planting Tomatoes.
Initially released as a limited edition Record Store Day exclusive 7" vinyl earlier this month, the indie-folk track looks at staying present and thankful on a day when you realise you are older than someone you've lost.
It arrives with a video that Dacus shot herself in Tokyo, and follows the announcement of a spring and summer North American tour, which includes two orchestral shows, one on July 19 at Millennium Park with the Chicago Philharmonic and another on September 13 at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Both dates will feature orchestral arrangements of songs from Dacus' discography, including last year's 'Forever Is A Feeling'.
The trek will also feature several festival appearances, including sets at Outside Lands in San Francisco and Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City.
Tickets for all dates are on sale now and for every headline show $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Ally Coalition (TAC) to support queer and trans youth in North America.
Dacus released the follow-up to 2021's 'Home Video' last March, followed by the companion release 'Forever Is A Feeling: The Archives' in October. She also put out the Grammy and BRIT Award-winning Boygenius LP 'The Record' in 2023 with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
