Lucy Dacus is an American indie folk rock singer-songwriter from Richmond, Virginia. She released her debut album, No Burden, via Matador Records in September 2016, and since, has has headlined her own shows and tours across the UK and has played festivals such as End Of The Road.
'Historian', her sophomore album, hit shelves in March 2018 to critical acclaim. She toured the record all over the UK, Europe and North America - and is now set to head back to the UK as part of a wider European tour in October.

Lucy Dacus doesn’t primarily see herself as a songwriter. But the success of her debut album, ‘No Burden’, particularly the track I Don’t Want To Be Funny Anymore, led her to contemplate the responsibilities of her new role. This is, in part, what led her to call her second album ‘Historian’.
