Prince To Perform At His Own House This Weekend

Friday, 04 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Global superstar Prince is apparently set to play a gig at his own home tomorrow. Saturday October 5.

The multimillion-selling singer songwriter will, according to City Pages, open his home recording studio tomorrow for a gig, with entry costing you a $50 donation at the door, guaranteeing you a chance to see Prince perform with both new band 3rdEyeGirl and his old band New Power Generation.

Prince’s $10million Paisley Park Studios - which is located near Minneapolis, Minnesota - will only be open to a limited number of fans and mobile phones will be banned, so fans will want to make their way there as soon as possible. It’s unknown if any footage of the show will be recorded.

Hannah Ford, who plays drums for 3rdEyeGirl, has comments:

“We really just wanted to open up Paisley to the public and invite Minnesota and anybody else who can make it out. This one is moreso like a spur-of-the-moment event to spend time with our community and throw a big concert for everybody and show off some of the stuff we're working on.”

It follows a recent tour across North America by Prince and 3rdEyeGirl, who have been working on new material together. Would you like to see them performing in the UK? Leave us a comment in the box below!
