Robbie Williams To Perform Songs From 'Swing Both Ways' At London Palladium Next Month

Friday, 04 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Robbie Williams will perform material from his upcoming album ‘Swings Both Ways’ for the first time at the London Palladium this November, in a new deal inked with BBC Worldwide.

Robbie has been working on a brand new album, his second swing music collection, for the past few months and announced its release last month with a series of teaser posters online.

It has since been announced that Williams will perform his new album live for the first time in the capital, in a BBC event that will be filmed for a DVD release on December 9. It’s unknown whether it’ll be aired live on television and the date is still to be confirmed, but it will feature a host of guest performers and is set to be a massive event.

Speaking of the show, and Salim Mukaddam of BBC Worldwide has said:

“Swing When You're Winning will have been released 12 years ago this November and we like other Robbie fans have been waiting patiently for the follow-up. Robbie is one of the most versatile performers of our times – a truly outstanding popstar, who was born to sing swing songs.

“We are thrilled to be involved in this project and to have secured the global rights to Robbie's much anticipated return to swing. This promises to be a fantastic performance and a must-see event for Robbie's millions of fans around the world, as well as for anyone that enjoys great swing and big band performances.”

Further details of the gig are apparently going to surface in the next days, so stick with us to stay up-to-date on things. ‘Swings Both Ways’ hits shelves on November 18 and will see Robbie singing alongside guests like Michael Bublé, Lily Allen, and Olly Murs amongst others.
