London Venue Taking Legal Action Against Rick Ross Over Gig Cancellation

Friday, 04 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

American rap star Rick Ross is reportedly being sued by a Wembley Arena promoter over a recent show cancellation.

The controversial hip-hop star, who’s had his fair share of legal issues in the past, will likely find himself in court alongside fellow rappers Wale, Omarion, Stalley and Meek Mill over hundreds of thousands of dollars the promoter feels he’s owed over a gig the rappers cancelled last year.

According to TMZ, Ross and co. were paid a hefty fee totaling over $192,000 (with the big man accounting for $100,000 of it) in advance of the show, which was originally scheduled for September 12 2012. The promoter is also demanding $93,281.26 in flights and other expenses.

He’s not happy that the gangsta quintet failed to deliver a concert, not once but twice after the guys also pulled their rescheduled date, and is heading to the courts in an attempt to get his cash back.

Hopefully Ross does manage to turn up to his two London gigs on Monday October 7 and Tuesday October 8 next week. If you’re a fan and still need tickets, check the dates and links below.
