The Strypes Reveal New Single You Can't Judge A Book By The Cover

Monday, 14 October 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

With debut album ‘Snapshot’ entering the UK album chart at #5, dynamic young rhythm & blues usurpers The Strypes are definitely on a high. Now they announce a their next single single, the amped up Bo Diddly cover and Strypes live highlight You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover, before embarking on a European tour with the Arctic Monkeys later this month.

Like their early 60s heroes the Stones, the Strypes have never been shy about their love of a cover version and You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover is classic of its kind, a song that they have completely made their own and this summer become a festival anthem for band.

Following on from recent singles Blue Collar Jane and What A Shame, You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover features more hard-driving distorted rhythm and blues and a huge chorus which is perfectly suited to lead singer Farrelly’s primed blues vocal and the band’s true rock and roll talents.

Currently touring in Japan where the boys have sold out a number of massive venues, the sharp suited quartet will then head out with Arctic Monkeys to play some of the biggest arena’s in Europe. Kicking off in Newcastle on October 22, the band hit the Earls Court arena on October 24 and 25, before heading overseas to Germany, France, Italy and more before finishing in Barcelona Spain on November 16.
