Trans-Siberian Orchestra Announce First UK Shows For Three Years

Monday, 21 October 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

One of the most successful US bands of the past decade, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, will release ‘Tales of Winter: Selections From The TSO Rock Operas’ on November 18.

The album is a 15-track collection spanning the band’s five albums to date, featuring their brand of “rock theatre”, which brings together elements of prog, metal, classical and musicals.

In addition to the collection, the band will release the Christmas single Sarajevo 12/24 on December 16. The song is inspired by the story of Vedran Smailovic, known as the “Cellist of Sarajevo”, who played his cello in the ruins of buildings during the siege of the city during the Bosnian War.

Following a massive 100-date tour, including two shows per day, of the US throughout November and December, the band will tour Europe in January. The Europe Winter Tour 2014 will take in 15 cities in eight countries, beginning with the band’s first UK shows for three years.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows

Fri January 10th 2014 - MANCHESTER O2 Apollo
Sat January 11th 2014 - LONDON Eventim Apollo
