Kanye West has been forced to postpone further dates on his North American 'Yeezus' tour after elements of his elaborate stage set were damaged in a traffic accident.
The hip hop superstar got the tour underway in Seattle on October 19 - provoking controversy in some quarters by appearing on stage with 'Jesus' - but has now been forced to postpone shows in Vancouver, Anaheim, Denver and Minneapolis after a video truss and giant LED screen were compromised en route to Canada.
In a statement, reported by MTV, a Def Jam spokesperson said:
"This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA. As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated. Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans."
West recently confirmed that the 'Yeezus' tour would make its way to Europe in 2014.
