Shogun Audio Line-Up New Signings And New Album

Monday, 04 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

The mighty Shogun Audio have announced two brand new signings, as well as lining-up a second part to their classic ‘Way of the Warrior’ LP.

20 year-old Harrogate lad Joe Ford is the first new name to boast a contract with Friction’s Shogun Audio, following a whirlwind 12 months or so since his debut single release Behemoth/City 17.

A new face on the scene but a more than talented producer and DJ, he’s got artist support from the likes of Noisia amongst others and recently joined the Dutch heavyweights on their I Am Legion tour. He’s caught the eye of many in his short time, including BBC Radio 1Xtra man Friction, who’s found a real gem.

He’s also struck gold with Austrian quartet Fourward, an incredible group of performers who have been taking the dnb world by storm with their high energy DJ sets and expertly crafted music in recent times. Known for their remix of The Upbeats’ Alone and their recent Aftermath EP on Audioporn, they’ll now be releasing exclusively for Shogun Audio.

They’ll both be making their Shogun Audio debut with brand new collection ‘Way of the Warrior LP 2’, which hits shelves on November 11. The new album features tracks from Shogun favourites like Icicle, Rockwell, and Friction himself, plus new names like Technimatic, and  of course Joe Ford and Fourward.

And, as the poster on the right tells, Friction, Rockwell, Spectrasoul, and Joe Ford will be hitting Plan B in Brixton, London for the launch party of the new album. It's going to be a wicked night, and if you need tickets, you can grab through Stereoboard here!

You can check out some previews of the album below - you can buy it here when its out!
