Reverend And The Makers' Jon McClure Performs In Fans' Houses

Reverend And The Makers’ frontman Jon McClure has been delighting fans who have pre-ordered the band’s fourth album, ‘Thirtytwo’, through Pledge Music, the band’s website and their Facebook page.
McClure asked people to tweet him pictures of them pre-ordering the album, then picked names randomly and tweeted that he was on his way to play at their house as a thank you. One happy fan said the singer played for over an hour, then sat and chatted and signed autographs for with him and his mates.
McClure said said:
“Basically it's just a way of connecting with our fans and doing summat a bit different. The music scene feels stale to me and this is a way of keeping it interesting for ourselves and for our fans. So far we've done Burnley, Scunthorpe and Sheffield. We like going to places that don't show up in the fuckin' media focus group surveys. Bring it on.”
He plans to do a series of these home gigs around the country over the coming weeks and has always maintained a close relationship with his fans, regularly performing impromptu busking sessions outside the stage door. ‘Thirtytwo’ will be released on February 24 2014 on Cooking Vinyl Records. They hit the road in February and March 2014 for a series of UK shows.
