Mew have welcomed bassist Johan Wohlert back into the fold and are planning to release a new album next year.

Wohlert, who quit the Danish alt-rock group back in 2006, joined the band on stage at Northside Festival last weekend and has now confirmed his return full-time.

The band will tour Scandinavia this winter and are currently working on their latest record with producer Michael Beinhorn.

Mew released ‘No More Stories Are Told Today, I'm Sorry They Washed Away//No More Stories, The World Is Grey, I'm Tired, Let's Wash Away’ in 2009.
