Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly Set For September London Farewell Show

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly will play a final show at London’s Forum on September 12.

Sam Duckworth is bidding farewell to the moniker after a decade and pressing on under his own name. Get Cape’s debut, ‘The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager’, was released in 2006, while Duckworth put out ‘Amazing Grace’, his second solo record, last year.

Joining him at the forum will be Shy Fx, Jehst, the Xcerts, Seán McGowan, Dave House and Ritual Beating System DJs. He said:

“The last decade as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly has been amazing. I've had the pleasure of making music with some incredible people and sharing the journey with many good folk. There have been challenges, triumphs and parasites.

“I have decided that it is time to transition into life as Sam Duckworth. It's easier to explain to strangers and it’s starting to feel more comfortable. So, I figured it best that we throw one giant going away party for Get Cape. Wear Cape Fly. We'll have some of the best live musicians on the planet joining us. It's very eclectic but all are on the top of their game, so it should feel a bit like a mini festival and a chance to enjoy music of different styles.

“We'll have the Forum ‘til 1am on a Friday, so there’s a bit of elbow room to really enjoy the night. We'll be on at 9pm to make sure those coming by train will not miss the show.”

Tickets are on sale at 9am on June 20, priced at £20.00 plus fees.
