Peter Kay Sets Up Blackpool Q&A Charity Shows

Tuesday, 02 September 2014 Written by Jon Stickler

Peter Kay has announced two live Q&A shows at Blackpool's Opera House in aid of Salford Women’s Aid Domestic Violence Refuges.

Taking place on November 14 and 15, fans will be invited to submit questions in advance, as well as voting for their favourite clips of the comedian's work, which will be shown and discussed on the night.

Speaking about the new shows, Kay said:

“A friend of mine works for Salford Women’s Refuges, which unfortunately is greatly overlooked as a charity.

“After hearing the shocking statistics and discussing the invaluable work they do I felt it was crucial to try and raise some much needed funds so they can continue offering vulnerable victims, including children, help when they need it most. If I can put on a special night that helps benefit the charity in some way and have some fun in the process, how could I pass on such a good opportunity?”

The shows will be Kay's first live stage appearances since his record-breaking 2010-2011 The Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £35.00, plus fees.

Peter Kay Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Fri November 14 2014 - BLACKPOOL Blackpool Opera House
Sat November 15 2014 - BLACKPOOL Blackpool Opera House
