Thursday, 17 March 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Frank Sinatra Jr has died aged 72.

The son of legendary singer Frank Sinatra, who was also an artist in his own right, "died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest while on tour in Daytona Beach, Florida" said the Sinatra family in a statement issued to the Associated Press.

Frank Sinatra Jr released his first album, 'Young Love For Sale', in 1965 and his most recent, 'That Face!' in 2006. His musical career spanned more than five decades and included collaborations with his father, as well as Sam Donahue and  Duke Ellington in his early years.

There has been an outpouring of sympathy for the Sinatra family online, including posts from Larry King, Tony Bennett and Mia Farrow.
