Tuesday, 19 April 2016 Written by Jon Stickler

Steve Vai will mark the 25th anniversary of his 'Passion And Warfare' album with a new world tour, including UK dates this summer.

The guitarist will perform the entire instrumental album, from top to bottom, with some very special surprises in store, at the O2 ABC in Glasgow, the London Palladium, the O2 Academy Newcastle, the O2 Ritz in Manchester, Brighton Dome and the O2 Academy Bristol, between June 1 and 7. Speaking about the shows, Vai says:

"Performing this record from top to bottom (with some very special surprises in the works) is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. There are songs here I’ve never performed before, and I’m delighted that 25 years after its release, I feel as though my guitar chops are as much up to the task as ever before."

Stay tuned for details of a 'Passion And Warfare' 25th anniversary edition and a new companion album, 'Modern Primitive', coming soon, meanwhile, tickets for the tour are on sale at 9am on April 22.
