Monday, 16 May 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

An Oasis documentary, Supersonic, will be released in cinemas this autumn.

The film, which takes it name from the band's 1994 debut single, was created by filmmaker Mat Whitecross, alongside James Gay Rees and Asif Kapadia, who were responsible for Amy Winehouse Documentary Amy, as well as Fiona Neilson and Simon Halfon.

Discussing the history of the band, Noel Gallagher said:

"Oasis was definitely like a fucking Ferrari, great to look at, great to drive and it will fucking spin out of control every now and again when you go too fast. I loved every minute of it."
