Drummer Jorma Vik Announces Departure From The Bronx

Drummer Jorma Vik has announced his departure from the Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx.

The sticksman, who is also currently playing with Eagles of Death Metal, will leave the band after 14 years with them. Check out his full statement, posted on his Instagram page, below.

The Bronx are due to appear at 2000trees Festival next month and have UK headline shows lined up in August. However, they have not released a statement confirming if Vik will appear with them at the shows or if they have a replacement in mind.

 

It's with a multitude of mixed emotions I write this but as of yesterday The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx and myself have decided to go our separate ways. I'm having a very difficult time finding the words to express how grateful I am to everyone who have supported the band(s) over the past 14 years. They've been the most incredible years of my life and I cannot thank everyone enough for enabling me to fulfill my dreams and aspirations. Endless love and gratitude to all the friends and fans. Hope to see you all in some shape or form soon. Forever thankful, Jorma Vik
