PWR BTTM Announce UK Release For 'Ugly Cherries' And UK Shows, Share New Track Projection

Thursday, 21 July 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

PWR BTTM, Ben Hopkins and Liv Bruce, will give their debut album a UK release this autumn.

'Ugly Cherries' will arrive on October 7 via Big Scary Monsters and will feature two new tracks, New Hampshire and Projection, the latter of which you can listen to below.

Discussing it, Hopkins said:

"Projection is a song about feeling unqualified to be the way you see yourself because of the way other people see you, and how other people's perception of your identity can warp your sense of self. It's about being exhausted with the pressure of fitting in and throwing a shiny, glorious middle finger to those who doubt you."

The punk duo will follow up the release with UK shows later in the year alongside the Spook School. They will head to Brighton, Leeds, Glasgow and London between December 3 and 6. Tickets will go on sale at 10.00am on July 22.

In 2015 PWR BTTM announced they would only perform at venues in the US that provided gender neutral bathrooms, a move that forms part of the band's ongoing plans to create a safe space for their fans.

PWR BTTM Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Sat December 03 2016 - BRIGHTON West Hill Hall
Sun December 04 2016 - LEEDS Brudenell Games Room
Mon December 05 2016 - GLASGOW Hug and Pint
Tue December 06 2016 - LONDON Shacklewell Arms
